Frederick A. Schoenhofer | Frederick A. Schoenhofer was born in Philadelphia in 1925. Fred served in the US Navy from 1942 – 1945 aboard the Independence Class aircraft carrier USS Langley (CV-1), The USS Langley was the United States Navy's first aircraft carrier, converted in 1920 from the collier USS Jupiter, and also the US Navy's first turbo-electric-powered ship. which had a long and distinguished service record in the South Pacific during WWII. Fred married Elinore J. Field in 1946. They lived in Delanco from 1953 to 1967 and again from 1982 to 2011 at 2011 Burlington Avenue in Delanco for 35 years. They were active members of St Joseph’s Parish in Beverly. Fred was a carpenter for Cherry Hill Hyatt until he retired. He was an active member of Samuel T. Lambert VFW Post 3020 in Riverside.
